Biography
In 2010 Juanita Lascarro made her debut under Sir Simon Rattle at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin in a rare staging of Chabrier’s L’etoile. She also sang at the Theater an der Wien in new productions of L’incoronazione di Poppea and Die Fledermaus. Other notable appearances have included debuts at the Wiener Staatsoper and Bayerische Staatsoper as Juliette in Romeo et Juliette. Other roles include Zdenka (Arabella), Musetta (La bohème) Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann) and the title role in Strauss’ Daphne at Oper Frankfurt where, as a member of the ensemble, Lascarro has grown into one of the company’s finest assets gathering critical acclaim for her performances as Manon, Agrippina, Violetta and Donna Elvira.
