Biography

The season Klara Ek makes her debuts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (The Creation) and with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich (Mahler's Symphony No. 4), both under Bernard Haitink, and with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (Fidelio) under Lan Shui. She makes her debut with the Hallé (Beethoven's Symphony No. 9) under Nikolaj Znaider and returns to the London Symphony Orchestra for Jeanne d'Arc au bûcher under Marin Alsop.

Recent notable debuts include Washington's National Symphony Orchestra (The Creation) under Helmuth Rilling, the London Symphony Orchestra (Mahler Symphony No. 4) under Bernard Haitink, the Berliner Philharmoniker (Bach’s Magnificat) under Ton Koopman and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig (Szenen aus Goethes Faust) under Christopher Hogwood.
