Biography

Artistic Director: Finnish National Opera

 

Mikko Franck has established himself as one of the most exciting international conductors, building up a wide range of repertoire both symphonic and operatic. 

He has worked with orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Münchner Philharmoniker, Bamberger Symphoniker, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Dallas, Chicago, and London Symphony orchestras, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has also toured Japan with both the Bamberger Symphoniker and the Orchestre National de Belgique.

As well has his regular performances at the Finnish National Opera, highlights of the 2010/11 season include his debuts with the Wiener Symphoniker, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and the Orchestre National du Capitôle de Toulouse and a return visit to the Orchestra Nazionale della RAI Torino.
