Biography
Music Director: Georgian Chamber Orchestra
Ariel Zuckermann studied with Jorma Panula at the Royal Music Academy of Stockholm. During the 2003/04 season he was Assistant Conductor to Iván Fischer at the Budapest Festival Orchestra. Other engagements include concerts with Bayerisches Staatsorchester, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Sinfonieorchester Basel, KBS Radio Orchestra Seoul, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, Zürcher Kammerorchester and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi. In January 2007 Ariel Zuckermann was appointed chief conductor of the Georgian Chamber Orchestra which he has restored to its former legendary height. This season’s engagements include his debuts with the WDR Sinfonieorchester, Bamberger Symphoniker, Philharmonie Essen, Hong Kong Sinfonietta and a new production of Donizetti’s Viva La Mamma in Munich.
